Problem-Solving

Escape Room Challenge

Working collaboratively under a time constraint, teams must decipher clues, solve problems and work together to "escape" the confines. This activity encourages communication, critical thinking and teamwork as team members rely on each other's strengths to succeed.

Blindfolded Sculpting

One team mate guides another blindfolded to create a sculpture, requiring clear communication and trust. This activity builds trust and communication as the sculptor relies on the guide's instructions, while the guide needs to be clear and concise.

Build a Boat to Save the Treasure

Teams construct a boat from limited materials to hold a "treasure", promoting teamwork and resourcefulness. This activity encourages collaboration and innovation as teams brainstorm designs, work together to construct their boats and test their creations.

Don't Break the Egg Drop

Teams are tasked with creating a contraption from limited materials that protects an egg from breaking during a fall. It encourages communication and collaboration as teams brainstorm, design and construct their protective devices.

The Marshmallow Challenge

Teams are given limited materials and the goal is to build the tallest freestanding tower that can support a marshmallow on top. It promotes collaboration, resource allocation and creative problem-solving skills.

Minefield Walk

One team member is blindfolded and navigates a "minefield" guided by verbal instructions from teammates. It fosters trust and clear communication between the blindfolded participant and their team, encouraging active listening and problem-solving skills.

Minefield Walk (Jigsaw puzzle version)

Teams have to complete a jig saw puzzle. The challenge is that all the pieces are mixed up and strewn all over a designated place where only one team member who is blindfolded can retrive it. It fosters trust and collaboration & communication encouraging active listening.

Active Listening

Human Knot

Team members stand in a circle and blindly reach out to grab the hands of two other people. The challenge is to untangle themselves from the human knot without letting go of hands. This activity can be frustrating but ultimately rewarding as teams work together to untangle themselves.

Back-to-Back Drawing

Team members pair up and stand back-to-back. One person is given a picture (or word) and must describe it to their partner, who then tries to draw it based on the instructions. This activity can be hilarious and helps teams to see things from different perspectives.

Telephone Pictionary

Teams line up, and the first person sees a picture or word. They whisper a description to the next person, who draws it. Each person continues drawing based on what they hear. The final drawing is revealed, often hilariously different from the original. This activity highlights how communication can change as it's passed along

Murder Mystery

Teams are given the scenario and asked to come up with plausible explanation of the cause of the murder. Teams don their detective hats as they try to solve the mystery. This activity facilitates effective communication, persuasive communication and fosters bonding amongst the team mates.

Effective Communication

Improv Role-Playing Scenarios

Teams are presented with unexpected situations and must act out scenarios "on the fly." It encourages quick thinking, collaboration and building on each other's ideas in a fun & lighthearted way.

Snake walk

Teams stand in a line blindfolded except the last one who can 'see'. They have to collect as many teasurers as thay can in total silence.

Blindfolded Instructions Challenge

One team member is blindfolded and completes a task guided solely by verbal instructions from their teammate. This promotes clear communication and reliance on the sighted team member's guidance.

Balance the ball

Teams have to transport the precious cargo from the mines to the lab. They are given strings which they have to use. They cannot use their hands.
